Magrabar produces a line of release agents specific to the food industry. These release agents are based on a variety of chemistries:
Silicone Emulsions act as general-purpose lubricants and are Kosher and Pareve. They're designed for spray applications on cooking surfaces to prevent adherence of cooked material. Magrabar's silicone emulsion release agents have found usage in applications as diverse as coating belts in the production of tortilla chips, coating knives and cutters for vegetables or to coat grills or belts for vegetable roasting or grilling. They can also prevent adhesion of foodstuffs during freezing operations.
Organic Based
These release agents are used by the food industry where silicone is not desired, again designed to prevent adherence of cooked material.
Phosphated Mono Diglycerides
This is a non-allergenic replacement for lecithin. It's a multi-purpose food additive is used as an emulsifier, release agent and defoamer for coating cooking surfaces such as frying and baking. It is particularly well suited as a replacement for soy lecithin in spray application release agents.
